Meiji-Mura Museum

 

 About

Located on a hillside facing the beautiful Lake Irura, Meiji mura,   the beautifully landscaped open-air museum, features more than sixty buildings and other structures all dating back to Japanes Meiji era (1868 - 1912).  From magnificent structures representing western influence to beautifully traditional Japanese structures made from wood, you can experience at first hand the culturally diverse architecture.  Why not take a ride on an electric streetcar or a steam powered locamotive from the early Meiji era, or simply just stroll around and enjoy traditional Japanese stage performances whilst experiencing Japan how it once was.

 

 Access

 

Train: Take the Meitesu train from Nagoya station to Inuyama station.  A bus from the station (20mins approx.) will take you straight there.

Car: Via the Nagoya Expressway, exit at Komaki-Kita.  Tkae the National Route 41 (30mins approx.)

Buses (100 spaces):  1500yen (Mar-Nov)   /  1500yen (Dec-Feb)
