Nagoya Bookstores Sakae

	Maruzen - Sakae
	About: Located just a minutes walk from Sakae subway station, Maruzen is a specialist book and gift store.  On the first floor (Ground floor for anyone English).  Is a nice selection of Japanese souvenirs, birthday cards and stationary.  For English books, head up the to level 3 via the escalator and you will find half the floor dedicated to foreign publications.  Journals, newspapers, magazines, novels, travel guides, maps, childens books and esl teaching materials can be found as well as a fantastic choice of Japanese study textbooks.  For those of you taking the Japanese Language Proficiency Test in December, the application packs (600 Yen)  are stacked up next to the cash register on the 3rd floor.  At the register you will also find a few free English magazines (Japanzine, ET people etc), that you can just take without asking. 	About: Located in the heart of Nagoya's downtown Osu neighborhood Mondo books sell and trade books in English, and other languages. Also, books for Japanese studies English studies. 	About: Located on the 11th floor of the Takashimaya department store in Nagoya station, you will find a fantastic bookstore.  English publications include magazines, newspapers, novels, childrens learning, hobbies and craft, as well as a good selection of study books.  For those looking for the JLPT application form, it can be purchased here. 	Junko-do- EkiMae
	About: A 3 minute walk from Nagoya station brings you to Junku-do and amazing bookstore for it wealth of techinal and study focused books.  You won't find the magazines, comics or even a great selection of English novels but what it does have is a fantastic selection of Japanese study books.  If there is a language book book you couldn't find in Maruzen or Sanseido, theres a good chance you'll find it here.
